Below, you see Ella protesting my blog. She caught me taking a picture of her dinosaur drawing and then insisted that I not include her or her drawing in my blog. Well, the whole reason I began my blog was so that I could remember all of the little details of these early years. Her drawing and the story that goes with it are things I want to remember. Sorry, Ella.
And this is the story she told me, in her words.
We're drawing dinosaurs in school. See how I added this blue to the background. I added it because our world doesn't have an end of blank whiteness. So, I added the blue. You see? Do you get it?
In school, we're supposed to be drawing real dinosaurs. Well, Ellis told Jessica that her drawing was fiction. Like, her dinosaur was never a real dinosaur. I told Ellis that probably her dinosaur is not fiction. Probably, it's just a dinosaur that hasn't yet been discovered, but it's a real dinosaur. There's a dinosaur somewhere that looks just like that.
