Some Things I Want to Remember About Jude

Jude is only three and all by himself he puts away his clothes, and every time in the correct drawers! He even carries the clothes from the downstairs den, all the way up to his room, unsupervised, and he completes his task. I couldn't be more proud.

Jude likes to say things like "buh, buh, buh, tractor" and "buh, buh, buh, fire truck!" A little back story: Virginia recently began reading short books. She has spent lots of time reciting the alphabet and the sounds the letters make, and all of a sudden, it just clicked. Now she can read! It's so cute to listen to her, because she really does sound out every letter in a word. Jude likes to sit with her and listen to her read, and he has actually learned a lot. Apparently, however, he has not learned how to sound out words. So, whenever he likes to act a little older, a little more sophisticated than the average three year old, he sounds out words. And no matter what letter the word begins with, Jude always begins with "buh."

Jude says that when he grows up, he wants to drive a truck, just like daddy. One of Jude's favorite pastimes is looking at pictures of monster trucks with his dad.
