During rare moments of quiet, I am suddenly aware that I can neither see nor hear Jude. And then I find him every time hidden behind the Christmas tree. He remains perfectly still, his body pressed against the wall. He makes no eye contact, nor any acknowledgement at all. I walk quietly away . . . until I hear him splashing ornaments in the tree's water.

We're putting up our tree this week... I am so scared. Lucas has already broken ornaments at three houses. My parents suggesting putting the tree in a playpen like they did when we were younger... hmmm... I'm pretty sure my pack and play won't hold our tree. Playpens were so much bigger back then. Sigh....
He’s a sly guy!
Hi Kathleen!!
Too cute!
I have to tell you that you have an ADORABLE family and your blog is simply delightful! Thank you for sharing. We are still limiting ourselves to a little Christmas tree atop our media center this year, but we'll be in New Braunfels and Corpus Christi during Christmas week anyway. It's really a shame how long it has been since we last talked. I miss you, dear friend, and I hope that we will meet again soon. I have yet to initiate my own blog, but you can see some pictures of my family (actually mostly my knitting, but the kids are in there somewhere) at my flickr page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/25063264@N04/. Take care!
