A Failed Plan

I decided to earn my family a little extra money by selling a few things on craigslist.  I'm not in the habit of selling things.  Usually I give our stuff away.  Too often I give our stuff away.  I wish it were because I'm generous.  It's probably because I'm lazy.  But with the holidays upon us, I thought it prudent to sell some of our things (albeit for giveaway prices), rather than stick them by the side of the road.  This way, I'd make a little money for the inevitable holiday expenses.  Unfortunately, my good intentions and hard work earned me nothing but a $100 trip to the urgent care center.

While too enthusiastically cleaning spit-up off of a cushion, I damaged the tendon of my left middle finger.  Mallet finger they call it.  I'll a have a splint for at least 6 weeks.  What the hell!  So, this chair which I planned to sell for $45 (and did sell, by the way), has actually cost us $55.  And I might need surgery.

Aren't you left handed, (or wrong handed)? Looks like it will be one turkey dinner...to go please!
