Mom: Ella, I noticed that you've had a lot of accidents lately, and I'm getting worried about you.
Ella: I'm okay.
Mom: Well, why are you having so many accidents?
Ella: I guess I'm just ignoring my body when it tells me that I need to go to the bathroom.
Mom: I'm not convinced. I think that maybe we should visit the doctor, just to make sure you're okay.
Ella: I already know what the doctor will say. She'll say Ella is fine.
Mom: Ella, if you're fine, why do you keep having accidents?
Ella: It's like I told you the other day. I want a fancier bathroom. If you'd just buy some roses for the back of the toilet and decorate the bathroom a little fancier, I'd go in there. I just don't like using the bathroom the way it is. Can't we at least cut some flowers from our yard and put them in the bathroom?
Our temporary compromise: Ella will draw several roses, which she will tape to the toilet. This will suffice until we buy some real roses.
The funny thing is that I believe her. I believe that if I put roses in the bathroom, she would use it all of the time, and I believe that after she decorates the bathroom, she will use it all of the time. That kid is a piece of work!

Hmmm...she never has a problem using my bathroom. She seems to linger in it, even. Interesting.
I'm going to spring for some $.99 cent silk flowers. Poor flowerless kids.
Tell Ella that she and I can get some flowers and fix something she would like for the bathroom. I also have some wallies that are roses if she would like them. Hmmm, wonder what she will say? I'll bet she'll do it herself. She slays me!
