Virginia long ago found her own voice in the family, and she realized early on that it would have to be a loud voice if it would be heard over her siblings. So, a few months ago, she began to preface every declaration with "LISTEN TO ME EVERYBODY" or "I AM TRYING TO TALK." She found her efforts very effective, so effective in fact, that she has taken the tactic to a new level. These days she declares mightily almost every statement that she makes. Last night at dinner, it went a little something like this: "I AM TRYING TO TALK EVERYBODY. I AM TRYING TO TELL YOU ALL THAT I DON'T LIKE THIS CHICKEN."
Virginia, you have been heard. I won't make that gross chicken anymore.
