- Picked blueberries at Moorhead's.
- Daniel made blueberry-vanilla ice cream. Yummy!
- Found Jude climbing the stairs--standing up!
- Jude now says,"hi."
- Dug for worms in the front yard, and found lots of them. My girls love worms!
- Found Virginia hiding toys in her pull-up. Don't use the kaleidoscope!
Lost patience with the girls tonight, but they were so sweet to me anyway.
Ella told me, "you're not grumpy, mom. You're the best mom ever, the most beautiful, and you do the best things with us. I just want to cuddle you! Mommy, let's read your favorite book first." (She was referring to the collected poems of cummings).
I read the girls a few poems.
Ella said, "Okay, I'm not having any fun now."
I am not offended. I know she will love it someday...
if there are any heavens my mother will(all by herself)have
one. It will not be a pansy heaven nor
a fragile heaven of lilies-of-the-valley but
it will be a heaven of blackred roses
my father will be(deep like a rose
tall like a rose)
standing near my
swaying over her
(silent)
with eyes which are really petals and see
nothing with the face of a poet really which
is a flower and not a face with
hands
which whisper
This is my beloved my
(suddenly in sunlight
he will bow,
& the whole garden will bow)

Blueberry picking was a great idea. Must do again. Thanks for thinking of us!
BTW, my cousins went to pick blueberries last night. The two boys picked 14.6 lbs in an hour. That is mad picking skills. I'm going to recruit them for my team next year.
Her eyes are like blueberries! So beautiful.
Thanks for letting is be a part of the memory. We really enjoyed it.
